Pink Rocks -A Gray Day
Pink Rocks was blasting again today with a strong Southerly whipping up the swell over the past three days. Water temperature 14 degrees celsius and a gray sky, too cold for me after years in the tropics. Three surfers in the water and a few experts -porpoises! The experts were on the other side of the island about an hour before. I think they were breakfasting on schools of sea mullet. Lolling through Pink Rock’s gnarly looking two plus metre waves as if going for a Sunday morning stroll after a “fat” breakfast was a happy sight. They were only a few metres off the rocks not surfacing except to take a breath now and then. Almost as if it was just too much effort.
