I was passing the back of the Torres Strait’s Horn Island airport, the main one linking to Australia’s mainland after getting the previous landscape shot when I noticed an “Aerorescue” Dornier 328 on the move. The Torres Straits is populated by indigenous people that are often described as “Mariners”. They go everywhere by Dinghy or small boat and by charter aircraft that criss cross the skies of the Straits daily.
It had me wondering who was missing and from where. I snapped off this shot just as it was “rotating”. A second later the landing light was directed at me and to bright for a decent shot.
